So Fourth living, it definitely has it’s days.

A trick I’ve learned. It is easier to just run up the three flights. You don’t feel the burn until the end in your apartment instead of the entire walk up.

Some definite positives:

  • Free stair workout anytime you leave or return.
  • When someone rings the doorbell and wakes you up in the morning you still have three flights of stairs to get dressed.
  • Once your students realize how long the climb is, when you answer the intercom and say you only have 5min they decided it is not worth the climb and will return another time.

One frequent hazard though is missing my floor. More than once I’ve passed my floor because it always seems I have another floor to go. I usually realize it on the 5th floor landing although I did try to get into the Japanese Teacher’s  apartment (501) once because I thought I was on the fourth floor.
