Weifang Square
Weifang holds the International Kite Festival each April. It is known as the Windy City in China.

Weifang International Kite Square
I am still trying to adjust to characters everywhere. The great thing about this square is that there are English subtitles all over!
Wendy and her husband Peter offered to take me to the Square downtown for an evening out. It was beautiful. I felt like it was straight out of a travel magazine it was so surreal, opera, badminton, rolling skating, feather ball (a type of hacky sack game played by old and young), dancing and so much more. There was music being played over the loud speakers that just seemed to cap off the mood.
I have found the Chinese love for bright colors and lights a little disorientating at times but it is all just part of the hustle and bustle of a thriving community.

The Square was amazing and the company couldn’t have been pleasanter!
